oh sweetie! i've been out of the loop too long! has your doc ever prescribed daily meds for your migraines? as a fellow sufferer (and i get all the joys too, the sensitivity to light and smell, the rolling nausea, and the feeling that if you bend over your forhead is just going to slid right off) i've been doing the topamax (and anti-seizure) and cymbalta (and anti-depressant with pain management benefits)for two and a half years now and it's been wonderfully helpful. i still get them, but not the same frequency.

some docs say that the seizure like symptoms as well as if you get really lethargic and thirsty the next day, sort of feel like your head is cloudy, it could be because of a seretonin deficiency (which oddly is also a cause of seizures as well as migraines). that's why some anti-seizure meds work so well.

I have known people with migraine headaches, and I'm for sure glad that I don't suffer from them as well.

But I feel for you. From what you describe you have them in the worst way, and if seizures are involved, hopefully all is caused by the (&#*$***) migraines.

I have also heard of the serotonin imbalance symptoms that BZ mentioned. It would be worth looking into. Try not to fret too much though Sweetie. Stress will just make it worse. And you should never feel like a burden to those who love you. I hope you get helpful results from the CAT. And I'm glad you got a good pair of shoes!!! Hang in there Sweetie!

As always, you know you're in my thoughts. If there's anything I can do to hel, let me know. I get the migraines, too (as you know) and only recently I got the supper bad one you went through. I'm happy to say that I didn't get the shakes, but when dealing with that stuff you can never be too careful. I'm hoping that it was just a doozy of a headache and nothing more. Keep the faith and stay strong.

As for the stuff you feel obligated to do, if it's what I think it is, just let us know, okay? I don't want you overwhelmed with that when you have much more important things on your mind.

My new doctor has prescribed some Amerge to try when they come on. Which I need to wait for payday to fill.

Haven't had the joy of the forehead sliding off feeling yet.. That must feel so very weird and disturbing!

Hopefully this will be resolved in due time.

Hmmmm.. I wasn't lethargic/thirsty but did still have that blasted migraine.. (gotta love the ones that last for nearly the whole week)

You know I'm there whenever you need me, we talked a bit about this already. So sweetie, don't panic, first they need to stop the migraines and find out what's going on. After that is taken care and while you are still in your job, search for a new one. Don't feel bad about it, maybe this job was what you needed at that moment. Bear in mind too that, when you are suffering sthg. like migraines nothing looks good, nothing. Things that never bothered you before now you can't stand them.

Gah i hate migraines, i must admit when i've had them the worse thats evers happened to me is that i lost my sight, thankfully two hours later i could see again yet still in a heck of a lot of pain. Though saying that i've not known anyone to have a seizure from a migraine before now and no ones ever mentioned to me other possible side affects.
